Jesus's Daughter

If Jesus was not the son of God, if he was simply a man, then it is likely he would have lived life like a normal man of his time. In the GOSPEL of HANNANIAH, a novel I wrote several years ago, Hannaniah's story comes to life as the illegitimate child of Jesus and his lover Miriam of Magdala. An inquisitive and daring child, she longs for the father she doesn't know, rebels against his rejection, and returns to her homeland, her father's child, the next messiah of Israel. In what I hope will be an unusual link into this novel, I have written a second work of fiction to be published by Kunati Books in the spring of 2008. HUNTING THE KING is the story of archaeologist Molly O'Dwyer and her perilous search for the physical remains of Hannaniah and her father in war-torn Iraq. Check the Kunati web site under spring '08 titles to view the cover. These are both novels that deal with the issue of faith andwhat true faith, in my mind, ought to be.
